On Saturday, April 15, 2017 twenty-two (22) High School JROTC Raider Teams went Head-to- Head
against each other at the Annual Raider Challenge hosted by the Harris County JROTC Battalion in
Hamilton Georgia. All of the athletes are truly professional competitors that mastered the five(5) task
required to compete; Team Run, Raider Fitness, Litter Rescue, Rope Bridge, and Obstacle Course. The
Raider Challenge Competition is modeled after the U.S. Army’s Best Ranger Competition. Schools select
the fitness Cadets to create an all-male and mixed gender teams. The event is a grueling test of will,
fitness, team work, and mental/physical toughness.
The Schools that participated this year were:
Auburn High School, Chattahoochee County High School, Columbus High School, Harris County High
School, Hardaway High School, Jordan High School, Shaw High School, Spencer High School, and
Northside High School.
The top three (3) teams in the all-male category were Auburn High School 1 st Place, Shaw High School
2 nd Place, and Harris County High School 3 rd Place.
The top three (3) teams in the mixed gender category were:
Columbus High School 1st Place, Chattahoochee County High School team 2 nd Place, Jordan High
School 3 rd Place.
